Description
It would be to save all the .Config folders for programs in a subfolder /HomeDirectory/UserConfig instead of directly in the home folder as a hidden file.
When navigating with Nautilus it shows hidden folders and when I want to have fast access to my Music folder for example ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS :D

So why not hide hidden files?

It's generally up to the upstream application where it stores config files. I can't see the benefit of putting them all in one place, especially when you can hide hidden files :)

They would be much easier to find, and backup!

The BeOS did this.
They stored all .dotfiles and hidden config in the equivalent of /home/username/.config - in fact, in BASH, the $HOME variable was set to the .config folder!
This way, applications didn't need to be patched to save in the new path.

Hitting CTRL+H to toggle hidden files on and off is so...so...easy. Remapping $HOME is also so...elegant.
Er, what was the idea again? Create yet more arcane directory paths? Now THAT'S 21st Century.

Some apps allready store their configs in ~/.config folder.
Somewhere I heard it's a new standard... in one of the PCMan File Manager changelists maybe.

Try to learn & understand the *nix principles before changing the whole system...
