Idea #16241: Provide more theme package in Ubuntu

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #9579: Add more Appearence themes.
Written by nandayo the 5 Dec 08 at 01:27. Category: Look and Feel. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Actually, the proposed theme choice in Ubuntu is very limited and poor, whereas customization of an OS is very important for many users. Even if the default Ubuntu theme is very nice (I found), a unique theme cannot make everybody satisfied.

Solution #1: provide some default temes
Written by nandayo the 5 Dec 08 at 01:27.
I think it would be welcomed to propose some other "official" themes included after installation, chosen from more popular web theme for example, with other colors, other background, other menu disposition etc. Then, everybody could easily find a theme he like without having to go on the web, find themes, install them etc.

For example, this is nice : http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3109/2561095916_3636b12f07_o.jpg . Take some themes with different style like this one and everybody will find his satisfaction in the default Ubuntu theme package ;)

I like the icons package.

I...I think I'm going to be sick. Brown and glass just does not go together.

I'd like four themes by default, the default human theme (no gloss), a second light theme (glossy), a flat dark theme, and a glossy (non-brown) dark theme.
