Rationale
I'm using Ubuntu on a laptop and in the upper right corner there is the Gnome Power Manager. It shows an icon of the battery when discharging or a cord with the battery when charging.

I would like it to simply show next to a time estimate it has for the time remaining for a full discharge or charge. Don't get mad at me for saying this, but I have seen this feature on Mac OSX.

Let me know what you guys think.

I had this with Gnome and have this with KDE, but that's the discharge time only.

This idea is implemented in the Battery Charge Monitor Applet. There is a difference between the Battery Applet and Gnome Power Manager. The Gnome Power Manager is the one that is normally in the top right. The Battery Charge Monitor Applet is one that the user has to implement.

If you are referring to the Gnome Power Manager, how do you do it?
