Rationale
try to open synaptic, then type in konsole:

sudo apt-get install mc

what you get?
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?


i think it should be like in fedora10 -

"waiting for dpkg"
"waiting for dpkg"
