Rationale
Every 30—40 boots my hard drive is checked, and it always the time I need my computer so much. To improve Ubuntu usability, make this check not obligatory but suggested.

It is there for a reason.

I would suggest that the best thing to do is reconsider whether the current frequency is too often/just right/ not often enough.

This is a dupe. The issue is solved in Hardy - you can quit the check with esc.
