Idea #1545: Support for Ubuntu Mobile On Nokia 770, 800, 810, 830

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #28: Enhance mobile devices sync .
Written by mynameis the 29 Feb 08 at 16:18. Related project: Ubuntu mobile edition. Status: New
Rationale
This may already be in the works but I have not seen anything official from Canonical yet.

To clarify. This is a request to have an Ubuntu edition, such as Mobile, that runs on the ARM processors of the Nokia internet tablets.

I know Nokia is working on something similar with their Mojo project.

Ubuntu Mobile is for x86 only for this moment. I hope Canonical will provide packages for ARM in near future

I would also love to see ubuntu mobile running on a 770. Mine crashes all the time and it is running OS2006. I am disappointed that Nokia no longer releases OS updates for it.

I don't understand why this was marked as a duplicate. It has nothing to do with synching to Ubuntu. This is a request to get Ubuntu up and running on the ARM processors of the Nokia Internet Tablets.
