I'm pretty sure that there is something like that because I have it installed. Unfortunately I am not on my box right now so I cannot check what its name is... a search in add/remove for "alarm clock" should do the trick anyway.

I took a look, "remind" is to command line. the front end, tkremind made in tcl/tk :/ .

it's not in the repositories of hardy and i could not to test :( looking in the google gave me the impression that it's a abandoned project. does any one know the official homepage of this project?

It should be by default. Integrated with gnome clock on the panel. I need one when I make pizza. :D
