Idea #14589: Global predictive text function

Written by scarson the 19 Oct 08 at 22:32. Related project: Ubuntu mobile edition. Status: New
Rationale
The keyboard compromises of small netbooks mean that predictive/corrective text functionality would be very helpful.

It would be best done at a global level, as seen with mobile phones and other small portable devices, not in individual software applications.

Something similar to apple's iphone and ipod touch corrective text would be excellent, and extremely productive. Personally i don't have a netbook, nor a laptop but this would be great on desktop to. And SHOULD be global as you say.

+1
