Idea #14519: Merge Ubuntu (wubi) and Ubuntu Netbook Remix installation (Asus Eee PC)

Written by felixcorrales the 18 Oct 08 at 03:20. Related project: Live CD installer. Status: New
Rationale
Asus Eee PC 1000H, etc. has enough HD (160 GB), 1 GB RAM so it can handle the complete Ubuntu installation, it only needs some extra kernel configurations (these especial configurations are included into Array.org, Ubuntu Netbook Remix, Intel Atom processor, etc).

For this reason you should merge Ubuntu Netbook Remix installation and the traditional Ubuntu installation (wubi included).

I don't want to use the Ubuntu Netbook Remix version, I want to use the traditional Ubuntu version with these extra kernel configurations etc.

ubuntu-eee is not affiliated with canonical, nevertheless it got repo compatibility, I don't think this is necessary. I don't care if the new eee has 160 GB, mine has 4 GB so I appreciate the fork.
