Idea #13840: Show What You Have Copied

Written by zephyrcat the 28 Sep 08 at 22:42. Category: Others. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Every time you hit control+c or press copy, it replaces what you already copied. Unfortunately, this can get confusing if you are not sure what you most recently copied. I propose that if you press --and hold-- control+v, a little box should pop up and show you what you most recently copied. Of course, if you do not hold down, it will paste the text as usual.

I think tooks like glipper or klipper are a sufficient way to implement what you propose without displaying pop-up o similar effects.

Parcellite (http://www.getdeb.net/search.php?keywords=parcellite) also.

Now, for this to be default... hm. I think it's quite reasonable actually.

I also use Glipper, but it's a shame those keyboard managers can't handle picrures. When copying an image from a website, then closing FireFox and starting The GIMP the image will be lost.
