Description
The idea is very simple. A small message saying that the usb drive is ready to extract after you unmount the unit to extract it. It is only to be sure about the device is ready to be extracted.
Thanks.

I don't get it, I thought Ubuntu already did this since long ago? It has always warned me that I could safely remove a drive, at least.

What happens now is that Ubuntu warns you not to remove the device (I think it uses a yellow dialog).

It would be nice to throw up a similar dialog (maybe green color) when the device is ready to be removed safely).

Another (better) option is that after the device is unmounted safely, instead of making the icon disappear, make it greyed out. That way you can right click (or double click) to remount it.

I go with frandavid100 that this is already implemented in Gutsy:
- there's a traybar message warning not to remove the device
- when it's ready, there's message saying it's safe to remove the device

The main idea is that the dialog appears always, not only after the warning message, even if the warning message doesn't appear(like in most cases).

Ubuntu get it, but it doesn't work allways (for me, and I've tryed the latest four versions). I tryed the spanish distro Guadalinex (http://www.guadalinex.org), and it has got a very good program for this. Ubuntu's should work as Guadalinex' one.

It seems to work very unreliably.

Definitely works unreliably, zarkov. Sometimes I get the "you can safely remove the device" message, sometimes I don't. I really don't get it. It is quite confusing.
