Rationale
I have a USB thumbdrive that I would be very eager to have Ubuntu on so that I can share it with friends. It's a lot more convenient than carrying a CD around. I was thinking you could create some sort of utility that gets Ubuntu bootable on a thumbdrive. I know there are various tutorials out there, but most of them seemed a little overly complex.
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/16/ is exactly what I meant. Sorry. I searched for USB before posting this and did not see that. In fact it's still not there and LiveUSB produces no results, so maybe searching is broke, lol. I hereby dedicate all my upvotes here to http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/16/ :)
