    <description><![CDATA[When you open up a terminal in slackware, you are greeted with a message of the day.. which can be pulled from the program fortune.<br />There is a quick and dirty hack to do this in ubuntu - but it'd be good to have a motd in the terminal, as a light-hearted way for users to the terminal not to get so scared of it.  Humour would be a bonuse at this stage :)<br />

  <description><![CDATA[I like the MOTD's in Slackware. :)<br />So I'm for this. I really don't care about that "Ubuntu comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY"-warning at all, looks like pollution even if it's true: I don't need to read that every time really.<br /><br />I would even like it if the MOTD's are somehow implented within the GUI somehow. A dialog that pops up every time you login wouldn't work but maybe there's a nice spot for them in the login window?]]></description>
