Rationale
Make an entry to "install-font" in the context menu when right-clicking a font file. The font would then be moved to the appropriate directory in the home folder. It took me a while to figure out how to install fonts!
I agree. I think having something like "Open With -> Font Installer" would be the easiest way of doing it, and would have the least impact on right-click-menu-familiarity
why not just clicking on the font, I'm surprised Windows doesn't have that feature. I know quite a lot of people who try to install fonts by clicking on them ,when it doesn't work they give up.
bruce89: That has the same end result, but is completely out of context. Adding default and available actions to font files themselves puts them in context, even if it just a script which copies the file to ~/.fonts. This is a more convenient to work. It's the difference between having to carry around a toolbox, and having screwdrivers appear next to every screw.
