Idea #13333: installing new fonts

Written by lalejand the 17 Sep 08 at 08:00. Category: Graphics. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
When I download a font, to be able to use it, I must manually, as root, copy it in the fonts folder in user/share/fonts ...

It would be great, from the font viewer for example, to have an install button or any technique for doing the installation not manually. Users should never have to do things manually out of their home folder.

EDIT : sorry, I didn't know the possibility of the .fonts folder. Forget my idea and vote for the idea 13058 that is better

You can also use .fonts/ in your home folder.
