Idea #13289: Highlight files selected for cut or copy in Nautilus

Written by enbuyukfener the 16 Sep 08 at 07:26. Related project: Nautilus. Status: New
Rationale
One thing that I've found odd is that files selected for cutting or copying in Nautilus are not grayed out or differentiated from other files.

This would almost be a non issue except there are cases where you can cut and paste quickly enough that the preparation was not yet done and you are left with some uncertainty. Fading or highlighting the files to be cut or copied when they are ready for the specified action would be a nice touch.

Best idea contributor on Brainstorm (Eldmannen) has already proposed such an idea.

some people should really do a little search before posting (new) ideas :)

I'd argue that I do more than reasonable amounts of searching for potential duplicates. It was just hard to find the appropriate search terms. For example, I would never have thought of "dim" or "transparent" as Eldmannen and someone else respectively did.

I find it odd that "Idea #11597: Highlight copy cut actions" did not come up in my search results though.

Anyway, apologies for the mishap.
