Idea #1317: Improve mouse settings

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #120: Mouse Button Extension.
Written by mr.dan the 29 Feb 08 at 12:12. Category: System. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
It's old-fashioned to have a simple 2-buttons-and-a-wheel mouse, but in settings, there are almost no options to set - left-handed, invert wheel, doubleclick speed....
I would appreciate some tool to generally setup all keys and wheels actions on different mouses - something like keyboard shortcuts settings. including wheel tilt of course.

It would be nice to have a gui for setting up extra mouse buttons, like forward and back, without having to edit xorg.conf.
