Idea #12527: one global shortcuts system in kde

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #163: Sytem-wide shortcut configuration.
Written by trylik the 25 Aug 08 at 10:56. Related project: Kubuntu. Status: New
Rationale
i dont know how does it look in gnome, maybe i just dont know how to do it in kde, but here is what i miss

in gimp there is shorcut "Ctrl+Shift+S" - Save As, but in kedit it doesn't work, in quanta it works as "Save All"

why it is so?

people would like to use the same keyboard shortcuts in all apps

even ctr+C or ctr+V dont work the same - in konsole or nano

should there be one common place for developers, to take shortcuts?

if there is such a standard, it would be easy to change key shortcuts globally for all apps
