I'm not normally one to spam my own work, but I've gotten such an overwhelming response about it, that I thought it was worth posting. There is major support for realizing Will's mockups, but there in lies the problem. They are just mockups.

Fortunately, there are actually some people, like me, that are building the Wall-light theme piece by piece. So, if you think that this REAL WORKING GDM THEME is worth being the new default. Vote this up.

PLEASE PLEASE notice that this is NOT A MOCKUP. I'm not asking you to do the impossible and make a rough sketch the default look. This is a fully functioning GDM theme.

Use THIS mockup to design the new Ubuntu for ME means( maybe I am alone with this opinion) - that:
1. Ubuntu (or anyone) should create a theme of this mockup
2. Use this theme for Ubuntu.

It is evident that first you have to create a theme out of a mockup, to use it later; Ubuntu is not themed by .jpg files ;-)

Its not the same picture. because the idea you are referencing was not drawn by me. Its just a image. a jpg file like you said.
