Create a disk manager where you can see and edit partitions, administer RAID (mdadm) partitions, create mountpoints etc. All in one place.

The best partition editor I know of is gParted (available in Synaptic). I don't remember whether it can create mount points or not, however.

IMO, evmsgui is better. Too bad it's mostly unmaintained and somewhat buggy (fortunately, it seems to have not data-loss bugs)

both gparted and qtparted have serious problems with RAID partitions (linux raid members / mdadm). What is more they dont manage mount points.
