Idea #11932: Change color of files in nautilus when cutting

Written by d.weller the 7 Aug 08 at 09:44. Related project: Gnome. Status: New
Rationale
Problem: When cutting files / folders in nautilus in order to paste them some place else their color does not change in the source folder, making it hard to see which files one is trying to move around.

Possible solution: A file / folder which has been cut out is "greyed out" so that users can more easily see which files / folders are being moved / have been cut out.

thst's not a bad ideea actually... you can have a system similar in some whay to autocad... glow blue if they are cut, and glow green if they are to be copied!

Or add an emblem to indicate that the file is being moved or copied or cut and not pasted yet.

Did the "best contributor on Brainstorm" also report this as a duplicate?

Congratulations Eldmannen, whenever you're in Colorado next, I will buy you either a beer, a cookie or a gold star, at your discretion due to both your best contributor status and your outright and extreme modesty.
