Rationale
After requesting shutdown during an system update show update status in usplash and then switch off. (like on the operating system of the market leader, but don't start system update on shutdown - like they do -, only continue)
We should have the choice how to bring down the system, like
1) Finish what you are doing (like updates, running scripts, compilations etc., but, of course, don't wait for my internet radio station or the browser to close down) and then swith off, I'll go home now, can't be bothered to wait here 'til everything is finished just to switch off the machine.
2) There is this massive thunderstorm right next to my office, so shutdown -h _NOW_ or the lightnings will get you.
shutdown allows you to bring down the system after a certain time, but how do I know how long this script will run?
Though could we PLEASE not have it as the default option... might not be a bad idea though, it is convenient, and even though I don't need to I generally shut down my computer every night to save on electricity (desktop sucks down power).
