Idea #11467: Improve a backup system

Written by bud the 24 Jul 08 at 07:53. Category: Security. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Why do not improve a simply but stronger backup system for all system, not only for user data, for example integrate mondo archive/restore with a gui?
The best is like Acronis True Image, create a new partition for the compressed backup, and a line added to the boot manager to restore the system...

No normal user does need to backup his system. You only need this if you have a lot of modifications.

sbackup or "Simple Backup" was a Google SoC project and turned out pretty nicely.

apt-get install sbackup
