UPDATE===========================================0

Human theme is good. I've seen the proposals like this:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Intrepid/Intrepid_Ibex_GTK_proposal
and they are pretty nice. But Orange/Brown is a warm combination of colors. Ubuntu should use them, but there is a limit. The actual Ubuntu theme is TOO orange, there's needed to be a balance, having Icons like theese:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Intrepid/Intrepid_Ibex_Icons_-_Art_Tea m

With a theme like the first one is too much.

I suggest something a little neutral like Elementary:

Warm colors are not calming, and a working station should be. So a color like Orange has to be used carefully.

Not calming but warm. it means "you can be confident in your computer, we made it human and not cold as ice"

Orange isn't that bad. What I dislike is brown. Sorry but it simply doesn't look that good.

Let's not copy the "neutral" gray from macs either.

That looks too much like Vista/Mac. Having a neutral theme is one thing but Ubuntu needs to stand out visually from its competitors.

I think the one you suggest is a bit dead and boring.
I like the warmth of the;

That is actually quite nice.

Except for the window iconbar - it shouldn't make sense to change the style of those.

Relax Fellas, it is just an example, it is an usability thing; Im not saying that Ubuntu Should be BLUE/GRAY, im just saying that TOO much Orange is not easy to the eyes. Having Orange Icons, With an Orange wallpaper after a few ours on your pc is not good for your eyes, it is about finding the balance. Ubuntu should be able to be beautiful without any modification from it's default installation. All I can say is that Elementary Icons could be use a LITTLE Orange tones, but not as main colors, however it was an example of what im trying to say.

I think it would be perfect, I'll post it on the Idea.

YES! The default orange and brown is the biggest failing of Ubuntu as currently shipped.

This one would be a drastic improvement to the current default and be very comfortable for all the new users who are ditching Vista and coming over:
