Description
On Gnome you have the menu "Places" which lets you access all your local, and also remote places. Unfortunately it does not allow you to access to your Firefox (or internet) bookmarks. It would be great to have that.
It happens to me that I have to check a lot some websites, and now I have to open the browser, and after is open type or look for the address. Sometimes after the browser is open I forgot what I was doing so my productivity goes down the drill. Once you have opened the internet is very easy to loss your time, opening the page you want straight forward will help to reduce that.
I have being looking for this for a long time until I found it exists.
You can see here the gnome applet that does this:
http://browserbookapp.sourceforge.net/
It is actually from the same person who wrote current "Places" menu.
I found yet another program that does the same (not sure if it actually is)

-1 for two reasons. Microsoft got into some deep kimchee for integrating IE so closely to the OS. Also, not everyone uses Firefox so it would have to be added to each of I'm not even sure how many browsers, not to mention the differences between how bookmarks are stored between Firefox 2 and Firefox 3.
Make that three reasons. I have a ton of bookmarks and I really don't want to have to deal with that list on my Places list, even in a fly-out menu.
