Related to: GIMP Image Editor. Status: New
Description
Tabs allows us to quick navigation to files, features, docks, pallete, brushes etc, adding tabs to make it look better than Photoshop, here is a mockup
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GIMP+3?content=49951
Hope developers listen. If there are plenty of Windows docking
inside single window and treating all windows inside on big window is solution.also there should be a property in "Windows" menu like
windows>>reset docks to original location,reset pallete,reset
presets for brushes etc.

And what if I want to view two or more images at the same time? GIMP's GUI may be difficult to learn but is definitely more comfortable than a single window.
At the very least, make it optional.

I agree this should be an option (so will vote +1), however, i also think gimp needs a rewrite. Its far behind.

If we ever want to capture the market from Photoshop, a lot needs to be done

LOL, this will be like a sin for the gimp developers. dont even try to push this idea, they live tons and tons of windows, the more clutter the better yay!

http://gimp-brainstorm.blogspot.com/ - this is the place for that king of proposals. And there is tabs idea somewhere in there.

Thats a good idea... windows inside windows, is really necesary, not for only for gimp... This must be a GTK+ implementation
