Description
http://custom.nimblex.net/
I could have posted a long story about how this works but the link explains it all.
Great for building a custom CD to install a PC that doesn't have a connection to the web.

-1. If you're too lazy to describe your idea, I'm too lazy to follow your link and to try to understand what it is about.

This doesn't seem to be an idea. What about a "Custom LiveCD config tool like thisone"?
Why clone Nimblex when Nimblex already exists?

Good idea;
Ubuntu needs this as well.
But why clone Nimblex, why not do better.
Ubuntu has far more packages available than Nimblex (especially through synaptic).
These could all be made available.
Really excellent for custom uses, that potential users are interested in.
e.g. Do for educational and multimedia.

I didn't see this posted before, but I wrote out a bit of a description of a service like this (it probably got posted while I was writing up my description)- see:
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/11140/
I do think a service like this would be a great idea.

Amaudus, the link explains it all...
gmatht and Tree MendUs, can we use Nimblex for ubuntu?? if so then why isn't it there already? then this idea would not be here right? To clone or not is not the issue, the absence of this option is. There are still plenty PC that are not connected online. And it would be great to pre-select the apps then build the CD, burn it, and take it on the road to the PC that needs it but doesn't have a direct connection to the web. Even better then Nimblex is fine but pfff... Just start with 'something like it' IT IS MISSING, and it whould be an improvement to Ubuntu as a whole. Thats the point here. No need to be jealous at Nimblex hehe... They where first, it is their idea, not mine but then again. It is my idea that this is still missing in Ubuntu. :-P
kaens, yes niceone! +1 :-) and lol @ gmatht for his first reply there. :-))))

@uaneme We can't use Nimblex for ubuntu, as it's based on Slackware, but I think the idea is sound.
