Description
It will be nice if the stickers that come with the ubuntu CD/DVD are more wear resistantt, because the sticker taht I put in my laptop near the touch pad has been erased.
I think that could be like the Intel/AMD/NVIDIA/ATI/Winlogo sticker that comes with the laptop,
wear resistantt to rubbing and more profesional.
Maybe this stickers are more expensive, but wy put 4-6 sticker with 1 CD/DVD, i need only 1 all the time (maybe 2) and not for all the versions of the CD i request. Maybe a option in the shipping form if you want or no the stickers, because the second time I request a CD/DVD I don need more stickers because I already have it in my laptop.

Castellano:

here is a good one made up here by a print shop employee (Thanks to jsereno): http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=174194

English title should be: Wear Resistant Logo Stickers
Suggestion: Add this corrected title at the start of your text, and replace all other instances of "resistant" with "wear resistant" in your body text. :-)

I guess that your a native Spanish speaker. Your English is polished enough that I assumed you were a native English speaker until I reached the "sorry for my English" line. You don't need to apologize.

I've never received an Ubuntu cd in the mail, I always download the ISO, but I am all for more resilient stickers.

Don't apologise about your English, be proud that can communicate in more than one language.

I would be very pleased if my Castellano was as good as your English. In fact I'd be very pleased if my [insert name of any non-English language here] was as good as your English.

Be proud I used to live in Miami and believe me I wish I spoke Spanish as well as you speak English.

If you are from Miami then you now what I'm talking about.

very good idea, just yesterday I had to remove the remains of my Ubuntu sticker from my notebooks lid as it was peeling off.

This idea has been bandied about before. There was a good one made up here by a print shop employee: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=174194

Can't vounch for their "wearability", though. Need some of the rubber bubble type stickers, or the metal ones for that.

good idea, ive done some sticker protection with a transparent tape :)

it took some time to cut off the ubuntu logo off the white background and assembling it again on the notebook, then applying tape over it to protect it from normal rubbing wear...

I tried putting mine onto the rear windscreen of my car. In summer, it faded. When winter came, it started creasing and lost most of its adhesiveness.

A bumper-sticker type sticker would be great.

I can agree with you here.. maybe I put the sticker on the wrong part of the keyboard .. it wore off the screen got black lol

I understand half of this is implimented all ready.

an August thread had a tick by it... all ready done.

An admin here mentioned the new stickers are going to be vinyl.
