Description
Ubuntu's site should contain news on success Open Source (not only Ubuntu) makes. Why not tell people that ODF is to be officially supported by MS Office 2007 later? Why not tell people that Mozilla Firefox has achieved the record of download count? Why not explain, why SIP is better than Skype? And so on. Ubuntu should promote things like ODF, Jabber, OGG and more - so that users could understand, how advanced these technologies are, and that Ubuntu will enable them to use them in a user-friendly way.

I agree.... we need to tell people about the groundbreaking success in the OSS world.... better if it sounds like those old WWII campaign ads (remember starship troopers the movie? something like that would be nice :p)
