Description
It would be nice to see who is voting for or against an idea here, so that we can ask why.

Or, to prevent retaliation, just show who is voting for an idea.

And what if there are contradictory ideas? retaliation again ;-) Maybe we should go on voting anonymously. This has been proved to go pretty well with democracy.

And if the adresses of the users would be public, we could "change" their opinions more easily... ;-)
That would be democracy put into practice.

Looks more like an easy way to start a flame war. Anonymity is a Good Thing.

The votes shouldn't really matter a thing. They just lead into argumentum ad populum. They exist only to sucker people in and feel better and shouldn't be taken for anything more. Some of the best ideas here seem to be nuked to hell and some of the worst ideas (fixing the correct problem but often in entirely wrong way) seem to be receiving lots of arrow up clicks from all fanbois and such.

I dont think it should matter either.
All adding it will do is start people bitching.

Brainstorm isn't digg. It's not a popularity contest, it's not social news. It's voting for ideas you think should be implemented. If I don't think something should be implemented, I don't need to defend my opinion. It's just an opinion.
Forcing comments or visibility of who votes what will end up with more peoples' toes getting stepped on, not less.

I voted against the idea, on the same basis as most of the above comments.
