Description
Off the bat: I'm not an avid PC Gamer.
However, I've found that ports of old games make a strong selling point when I'm trying to get a freeware/shareware gamer interested in Linux.
Id:
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Quake 4
Doom III
Return to Castle of Wolfenstein
Return to Castle of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Quake III Arena
3DRealms:
Duke Nukem 3D
etc.
Raven Software:
Hexen
Heretic
etc.

I know that Ubuntu is not a gaming company, and I honestly don't care if these games get put on community support, only that they're easy to install. Having them categorized by original software designer would definitely be nice.

I agree that these games should be easy to install and if they aren't available as packages they should be.
But I don't agree with metapackaging by company. Not a very useful grouping. Might as well group it by genre or year released, both of these would be more meaningful than by company imho.
