Description
NetworkManager 0.7 offers many, many feature that are urgently needed in hardy/networking.
I think it will be included in Intrepid Ibex, but since hardy is a LTS release it would be fine to have it at least in the backports repo.

The NetworkManager version in hardy is nigh useless. +1.

(Personally, I've uninstalled it from my Hardy system, as it does more harm than good, IMHO. It's better to work on the command-line where things work than to use an interface that has settings that claim to do one thing, but do another (slightly different) thing.)

Disclaimer: I haven't seen the new NetworkManager software. But if it has a fan, I assume it can't be worse.
