Related to: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Description
This idea is linked to:
Ubuntu Bob should replace the Gnome Desktop in Ibex
New category in Brainstorm: Strange
--------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see there are a lot of ideas (even other than just these two I linked my idea to) that demand a category "fun".
While I'm all for joke ideas or funny ideas or ideas that are just strange. I think they DON'T have any place on Ubuntu Brainstorm.
That's why I propose to make an parody community driven site called "Ubuntu Braindead" or something similar where this kind of ideas could be posted.
Like Uncyclopedia is for Wikipedia or any Linux ranting blog or forum (like Linux Hater and Linsux...)
We all know that Brainstorms source code is open so if this would be realised we could use its code.
This site dosen't need to be connected or moderated by Ubuntu brainstorm moderators. It should be user moderated.
So there should be no worry that Brainstorm mods would be occupied by such stupid things.
Maybe an link would be OK, to prevent "joke" submission to Ubuntu Brainstorm.
If this idea would be generally accepted the site would need an server, it dosen't need to be an server hosted by Canonical or Ubuntu, if there are worries that it would eat up precious space that could be used for something else.

Please comment on what do you think about that.
I think this is the best way to resolve some who want to propose strange, fun or just stupid ideas.

If we do this then we'll get a site that has turned into digg.com I used to like digg but now I can't stand it. I still continue to use slashdot to this date because there is some level of control.

@ acerman: Isn't this still better than filling Brainstorm full of "joke" spam. I think it is. But unfortunately I don't know digg so I can't say is your assessment correct or not.

My personal opinion. Brainstorm and its users can follow your idea if they like. I just gave my humble opinion and my vote. If Brainstorm implements this, as long as it is kept away from the good ideas then I'll be happy. But if it keeps being meshed in then I'll quit this site too.

hmm, i think it would be good to have a place to spit on frustrations.. that would bring the biggest frustrations floating on top so that developers/programmers where the shoe hurts..

but.. who am i?
