Description
Sometimes some good ideas come from comments.
This is part of "brainstorming" - triggering new ideas through vibrant positive discussion.

These ideas could also be voted on (positive input).

There may also be commenters who are more into brainbashing than brainstorming ie. don't/can't/shouldn't do that - ooh tabu, that's out of place (as if something new or spontaneous must immediately be able to fit an/One existing category), and essentially shut-up.

Commenters would be given the opportunity to receive voters support.

This would help to identify "negative" behaviour. What gets done about this, can be thought about mean time.
Negative attitudes work against creativity and imagination.

Remembering that "Great minds think alike" - thank heavens there are so MANY duplicates on the brainstorm board - Many people are having good ideas - Ubuntu is So fortunate.

That's a good one, and that have been on our TODO list for a while!
Unfortunately, the current focus of our work is not on this area (see blog post), so that may take a while to come.

(that's also a dup)

"To Do List" - where do we get to check a to do list.

Thanks for pointing out it is a dup.
So I went to check out the "Ideas being worked on" - and didn't notice it there.

How is it you know where the dups are, when dup detector doesn't show it it the list of dups?

I'm getting feelings of being duped by the dup-ing system.

hehehe - it's almost a by-word
perhaps i could say the "duping!" dup system.

Just having fun there.

Seriously though, I appreciate the developments that are going on, and its all about tuning the systems up. It will all get better soon enough.

Keep up the good work.

Great, all we need is for this site to load even slower because it has more voting widgets on it.

Currently there is only one voting widget per page.

Yes the pages do seem to take a long time to download, and this could probably do with some looking in to. (bug report or ideas for fixes?)

But the widget is not likely to be the sole cause of the problem of slowness.
For example;
this page accesses ;
1) 6 css style sheets
2) 6 scripts (only one of which is the vote counter). One script is for something to do with Drupal which is a website design and authoring system.

Another parameter voted on would double the amount of information garnered per question page (and wait), while probably adding to the wait time not much more than a sixth.

But if you want to save time waiting, then call up several/all/many of the submits, and ideas as "additional tabs" in your browser so they all start to download into your browser. If you do this before you start reading or working on any of them, by the time you have finished on your first, the rest will already be there.
