Description
Ubuntu should have a video training CD that could be downloaded like the installer CD. Something similar like lynda.com has for windows and mac os.
It would be extremely useful for new users.

So the idea should be "make screencasts.ubuntu.com known to the new user" or something like this. Maybe we should improve the firefox home page adding useful links like this to it.
http://showmedo.com is a nice web site as well.
One the problems with it is language. Almost all of them are in english only. Subtitles or alternates audios are essential for them to be useful for other countries.

People don't want to be trained or learned.
It should be so easy-to-use, intuitive, simple and clear that training is not required.

I agree that usability is more important than any help, documentation, tutorial or anything like that, but MacOSX, for example, has lots of video tutorials and people really use them.
In my case (the same thing with a few friends), I know how to do a task in a Linux or Windows way, but a video showed me the Mac way to do that.
Check it out: http://www.lynda.com/

Imagine ...
... the audience Ubuntu could atttract if the videos were placed on YouTube, MySpace and many of the other community Video sharing sites.
Especially the Intro type videos.
