Description
I think that Ubuntu should ship with more BLING. Everything should be with a desktop cube when it is installed. People should not have to enable it or disable it. Also, it should ship more teen-ager frendlly. It should come with some cool games to go along with it.

Yeah, more bling will make Ubuntu the beast of the streets, it will be the new hip thing all niggers want.

It even has an African word and bling, wow! Niggers will love it!

Lets bundle it with MTV and Elucid bookmarks. Next a Bob Marley background wallpaper.

Then you can have an app called "Pimp my computer", which adds diamonds and golds and chains and stuff.

Only thing it would miss is a recipe for Jenkem.

Teen-ager friendly, yeah lets ship some crappy mainstream music, MySpace bookmarks, ring tones and porno.

OK. Thats a little intense there.

Heh. Ubuntu is okay as it is, and everyone is free to configure it to their own tastes.

Although in this one instance I agree with Eldmannen I think his choice of words if you will are quite offensive to some.

Regardless, @ grim tuesday, maybe you have what is considered a mid to high performance desktop/laptop. Great good for you, you can run all the compiz cube effects and games you want, however consider what shuttleworth said (if you don't who that is then you have some serious catching up to do!) Ubuntu should be usuable on high end workstation and sub notebooks. If can/want to run the effects great then enable them but lets keep in mind those unfortunate people who do not have as powerful machines.

BTW I am 5 months from not being a "teen" anymore and I didnt need any Bling for me to switch to Ubuntu.

yeah, I agree, they probably are a bit offensive.

I'm not sure how to vote on this, its kind of open ended... +0

Eldmannen, dude! Don't you have a filter? I mean, that little traffic cop in your head that tells you whether what you're saying is even moderately appropriate? You could have said the same thing without the racial epithet.

Anyway...

As to BLING I guess I'll admit I know what he's talking about but being mostly an Ion wm user, I don't have much use for that kind of thing. +0

I like my default install, thanks.

Sounds like a bling metapackage is in order here for guys like him. It could be hosted at medibuntu, since the bling guys end up going there anyway to get their codecs. I think it should have a lemmings clone in the games.

WTF, maybe I'm an exception, but why are my comments the only ones that seem always out of order lol

LOL, tho I usually don't like closed mindlessness, I have to admit Eldmannen's comment made me laugh a while. I don't blame him, you are what you were raised to be.

As for the idea, I'm with cheese2122. -1

@Eldmannen... dude you actually were one of the few people on here that made sense. You an Auzy have been two guys whose comments I actually like since the conception of Brainstorm. Now you have lost some of my respect.

As for the parent of the idea, no. I have a low-end laptop that is going on about 7 years old now not to mention a desktop that is going on 9 years old that I run Ubuntu on. All those bells and whistles you want would kill my computers in a second. I do believe that the compiz stuff should be asked in the installation or if not that determined in the installation if your computer can handle it and offer to turn it on for you. Otherwise no.

-1 for the parent, -several million for bad commenting on Eldmannen's part.
