Unlike Epiphnay, Firefox is not a real GNOME application, even with the enhanced native look which has been introduced by Firefox 3.0.

Epiphany is a very simple browser, more conforming to the spirit of GNOME, which lacks a lot of the features of Firefox. However, I think most people will probably not need Firefox' extra features and plugins. Those who do need Firefox could easily download it when Epiphany becomes the default webbrowser included out-of-the-box in Ubuntu. Ubuntu should aim for consistency, and Epiphany certainly is a better candidate than Firefox if consistency is the goal.

Epiphany currently uses the Gecko-engine for rendering, but will probably feature WebKit - http://live.gnome.org/Epiphany/WebKit - soon. WebKit would probably do a better job than Gecko.

Because somehow Ubuntu brainstorm says the Blueprint URL I gave isn't valid, I give it here in the text: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/epiphany-default-browser

Sidebar Integrated in Ubuntu
Written by Crumpets and Jam the 29 Feb 08 at 21:24. Category: Look and Feel. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
One of the biggest factors that attract PC users to Microsoft's Vista is the fact that it looks attractive and fresh. Integrating a Sidebar like that of Vista's would improve the over all look of Ubuntu, especially with the new theme in Hardy Heron. Furthermore, the Sidebar would also be useful as well as pretty, housing small applications or Widgets such as a clock, calculator, Pidgin Buddy Lists, e-mail checkers and other thing of that nature.

I think ubuntu should look more like a big slice of cheese.
cheese makes me feel good and all thoses holes would be perfect for storing things like ... you know ... cheese.

How about wii have a faster ubuntu like windows xp,
XP operates very faster in comparation with ubuntu linux
but if ubuntu will be faster and more compatibel with more files like vidoes, arhives, images and more ubuntu will be
how to say a wow system because that little things.
And a more compatibele hardware + a faster system is the things a pc needs
