At the moment it's possible to manage traditional wired and WiFi connections using Network Manager. To connect via a modem, a 3G/GPRS card, over bluetooth to a cell phone or via USB to another device requires that the user installs extra packages, and does a fair amount of configuration that isn't found in Network Manager.
A single unified tool should be provided which allows the user to connect to a network (or internet) via any supported method. It would also be useful to provide an extension to this tool to manage firewall rules and network connection sharing.

Removing older, lower than 0 voted ideas after a while will help to keeping the database clean AND to re-submit the idea. Over time people could think differently.
The standard menu shows the option to add/remove software. This Gnome tool is 'quite' similar to synaptics. It confuses endusers which program to use for adding/removing software.

Not all printerdrivers are available in the default setup, like a lot of the Brother printerdrivers. They are available through synaptic. Adding them to the default Ubuntu setup it will become more easy using Ubuntu for those not having to search for their drivers.

I would like to be able to see a nice image on the internet and drag it into an application without having to copy-paste or save it first. I cannot do this on Open Office, Picasa, Mnemosyne, or Inkscape (linked images do not work on GIMP). The little polishes like this are what make Ubuntu such a good distro, and we need to fix them up.
