Upload files to Ubuntu One via e-mail.
Written by samvimes the 15 Jan 13 at 18:20. Related project: Ubuntu One Music Store. New
Upload of files to Ubuntu One is currently only possible through the apps or the website.

I often work with Google Docs, and in order to upload a file from Google Drive to Ubuntu One, I have to download it, and than have to upload it to One. It would be easier to share such files via mail.

Same is for E-Mail attachments, that I often want to upload to Ubuntu One directly.

Solution #1: Upload files to Ubuntu One via e-mail (similiar to the Kindle uploading process)
Written by samvimes the 15 Jan 13 at 18:20.
Give every user of Ubuntu One an specific e-mail adress (e.g. username@ubuntuone.com) and upload files sent to this adress to his online storage. Implement options to add files to certain folders (e.g. by using the subject of the mail). The concept is inspired by the uploading process of e-books to the kindle. This would allow easy automation of the uploading process and a connection between various online-services like Google Docs/Drive and Ubuntu One.

Close button for instances viewer
Written by samvimes the 8 Apr 12 at 14:40. Related project: Unity. Not an idea
If you have several instances of a programm running and click on the launcher icon, it shows you a preview of the windows. To close windows from this preview you have to select the window and then close it via the x button in the title bar.
This is extremely painful if e.g. Chrome opens lot of ad-windows in the background and you have to open every one of it to close them.

Add a "close" button to the previews, just like in the KDE window-switcher.
