Ubuntu with codecs

So, after analyzing this: http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/9637/ and seeing how some people really like codecs for proprietary formats, I think I must say this:
- Remix's codec licensing(tax) should be optional (Refer to the other brainstorm's link)
- As a matter of fact the same goes for flash and adobe reader.
- Now that canonical licenses codecs in remix, I think there should be a way to order online or purchase a download of a desktop ubuntu CD that comes with those codecs installed and legally licensed, so if some people really think it is important to have their codecs preinstalled they could put money where their mouth was. The condition for this not to be evil would be that the codecs were the only difference between these both variations of the desktop ubuntus. The OS would still be free whatsoever, but if people want to license codecs, they would be able to. In other words, they are actually purchasing the codecs, the ubuntu installation is a freebie that comes with that purchase.

Allow the use of simple passwords

I'm currently installing Ubuntu in as many PCs as I can, almost on 4 PCs a week, most of them are household Family PCs used by children. And i find the password too simple warning at login root enforced password change a hard obstruction into the usability of the machine. All kids want their passwords to be real simple like candy, or dog, or secret... but they cant because of this _dumb_ message, this is one thing that really annoys me in newer releases of ubuntu. i found in another thread ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=275457) a way to disable it but, still its an annoying procedure.
I think its fine that the ubuntu team cares about the user security but Blocking the use of simple passwords its abusive. I think if a warning showed up, kind of:
////
Your password is too simple and may be insecure
[Change Password] [Use Anyway]
/////
It would be insecure but you still be able to set your password too 0 if you want to.
Am I being clear? i really hope this will be a reality

Update Manager changes notes for Human Beings

You notice your system needs updates, quickly you click on the update manager, you're alerted to a critical update and click for the changes, "g_assert() over g_return_if_fail()"
"Wholly Carp Batman!" you think to yourself as you start to wonder why they call it Linux for human beings...
--
This is our current issue - the Update Manager notes make no sense for the average user. Even power users don't want to remember what some sort of wacky command does, they just want to know the changes in plain English.

Ubuntu should implement CUDA or other technologies that use the processing power of the GPU for other applications (not graphics).
- Especially important for audio/video encoding and other processor heavy tasks.

Global "Occupied" mode

The idea here is to make such a mode, when not only all IMs are set to "Busy" or "Occupied", but also the system doesn't show any notifications - update or else. Let it be a small lightbulb icon in the tray, which would go yellow as something happens and stay off as everything is ok: no text messages or popups whatsoever. This is really handy when you have to concetrate on the work.

desktop buddy as control center

Okay, before you read this, remember that this is to be optional, not the default.
make it possible for the user to dock the toolbars at the top inside of a customizable desktop buddy. you could just hover over the desktop buddy to have the options pop out around him. If he's getting in the way, you can move him by dragging. He wouldn't have to try to be helpful (I don't want another paperclip!), it would just have a few cool animations and be left to himself in some corner of the screen.
Some suggestions for desktop buddies:
Tux
R2-D2/C-3PO (Not loaded by default - available in the repository)
Ubuntu Logo
Digital clock
remember that I'd like this to be an option, maybe even just an extension available for download, but I don't want to replace our beloved toolbar at the top of the screen.

if the ubuntu had something like "dreamweaver" to let us work with stuff like html, flash,php and so on....like.... well... dreamweaver has a lot of style, power and attractiveness.... and what concerns those matters, i have to shift to windows (unfortunately may i say....) shouldn't we have a solution in linux close to this? easy to use, great to use and powerful?

Option to import email from Windows during install

The installer already asks if you would like to import data from a Windows installation, it would be nice to add email to this list. This would greatly improve the ease of migration from windows.
