AWN as option in Appearance preferences

first of all, let me get this out of the way: this idea is NOT to include AWN by default...
however, it should be made known that the option to have a dock instead of a panel does exist. under somewhere in the preferences like 'interface' or 'visual effects' there should be an option to install and use the AWN dock if desired (with a notice saying whether or not it is installed on the system yet of course), and then it could be automatically set to start up every time you log in, because as of now, you have to add it to the startup programs manually. also, it's be cool if you could access the awn configuration manager there from the same appearance app (only if it's installed of course, just like with compiz's advanced manager).
so yeah, dont include awn by default, but let people enable it easily if they want to... (not that it isnt easy already, but if someone doesnt know about it, and wants something like that, it would help them out the most).

yea, Im not sure if this has been implemented in hardy, but this 'option' shows up when you have multiple OS's on your system. not a big deal, but it would only make sense...
EDIT: by "Other Operating Systems:", I mean the actual line of text that says that in the menu.

Ability to Adjust Volume From Within Fullscreen Apps...

Whenever I am running a fullscreen game, I sometimes realize that I had my volume set too loud, but I am only able to notice this once it starts, and I can't adjust it unless I completely exit the game... I'm not completely sure if this happens with all fullscreen programs, but so far it is a problem with every fullscreen game I've tried, and its a bit annoying...
so yeah, let us adjust our volume from within such programs...

Default Ubuntu cube caps

in compiz, when you enable the cube rotation plugin, you notice that it comes stock with the default compiz-fusion logos as cube caps, maybe ubuntu should customize these to match the rest of the ubuntu theme by default...? they could be replaced by a simple ubuntu logo on a brown/orange-ish background, or something, anything really, but as they stand, the default compiz cube caps kinda clash with the rest of the default theme when the cube is enabled...
its not a big deal, but it would make it seem a bit more 'professional' when someone enables that effect...

I think it would be useful to be able to open multiple pdf files within the same viewer window. I know that I would use this feature a lot, because I like to multi-task, so I read multiple ebooks or whatever a the same time a lot... but yeah, it would also be cool if there were an option to view your tabbed documents side-by-side somehow for comparison purposes, Im sure that would come in handy sometimes...
but yeah, we have a tabbed text editor, and web browser, so why not a tabbed pdf viewer?

More options for Sticky Notes applet functionality

I often have this applet on my top panel in case I ever need to take a quick note, and it's pretty useful, however, it still needs to be more intuitive, and not get in the way of a person's train of thought at all when jotting down a note...
the following are some ideas for improvements that could be accessible as options in a 'properties' menu of sorts for the applet:
- 'Notes always on top', or at least have it as an option in each new note, just like every other window
- 'One-click on icon to make new note', just as an option, every other panel app seems to respond on a one-click, why doesn't this one?
- 'On icon click (or double click, depending on the previous options), hide all notes', again, just a minor adjustment to let the app get out of the user's way (i.e. not forcing them to go to the applet menu)
and finally, let us access this properties window directly from the applet menu, as opposed to making us open a note in order to adjust stuff...

Quick battery power consumption options from panel applet

Currently, when using battery power, the battery status icon shows up in the panel and displays how much battery life you have left, and allows you to configure the power consumption options when you right-click and select 'preferences'. Thats good, but it'd be nice if you could just click on it and have it show a dropdown menu type thing that lets you select from some power consumption presets, like 'Hight performance', 'Extended battery life', 'Balanced', and 'Custom' (where it would then take you to the preferences window) sorta like how vista does it, so then you could just quickly select your power mode for that session without too much thinking/tinkering, and then still be able to tweak it some more from the preferences/'custom' option if you like...
