How about having JeOS with other options as I work for a fairly large start-up that develops our own appliances. We currently utilize CentOS for our appliance and it has proven to be inefficient in many ways. Me being a long time Ubuntu developer would like to switch to utilizing Ubuntu as our appliance OS.

It would also be nice to incorporate some features into LP or another appliance like manager similar to rPath's rBuilder, which makes creating an appliance simple. Appliances are the future and with Ubuntu's name, it could be a very bright future!

You can ask Jorge Castro about how I want Ubuntu badly as our appliance OS and I am sure he will tell you he is sick of me asking when I can use JeOS out-of-the-box w/o that vm kernel.
