Is it possible to have 2D effects for GNOME like OpenGEU.

OpenGEU uses enlightenment desktop. Cool and Superb effects in menus and wallpapers. All this is 2D.

It will be great if something like this can be for GNOME without the need of full blown compositing.

A Brainstorm sub-site for ubuntu derivatives
Written by mirnazim the 8 Apr 08 at 06:18. Related project: brainstorm.ubuntu.com. New
How setting up brainstorm sub sites for ubuntu derivatives like LinuxMint, Edubuntu, Xubuntu etc.

There might be certain ideas applicable only to certain ubuntu derivative distro. So makes sense to segregate that.

These sub-sites can be implemented with Drupal taxonomy vocabulary/terms only and simple menu entries in the sidebar or somewhere

When we right click the computer icon on the desktop and select properties it should show some basic information about the computer. E.G. Computer name, Processor, Memory, HDD etc.
