Ubuntu should deliver more wallpapers (and maybe also themes and icon sets). This doesn't mean to provide 50 wallpapers but more than one or two would be nice to give the users the chance to customize the desktop a bit more without searching wallpapers.
Not every users knows where to find wallpapers.

Evolution: Minimize to Tray Icon

When minimizing Evolution it should be placed in the systray as icon. An email client is opened the whole session in most cases and since evolution informs via the tray icon about new mails a task bar entry is not needed.

Ubuntu is a great system but without any professional look. The brown look is not the point. The point are the icons. They all are very comic-like. We don't need a distribution for kids, we need a distribution for business and office. Take a look at windows or mac osx. They have a professional looking icon set, professional colors. It's not that funny looking comic-like style. I guess for success of ubuntu in businesses a more stylish look is very important. No professional enterprise wants to show funny desktops. And no: OpenSuSE or Fedora are not much better. This is a general problem in the linux community.

Stop Mr. Faulfinder, Remmy with his joy-killer anti brainstorming posts like this one:
---------
http://www.gnome.org/
This is and Gnome Project issue. Not a Canonical or Ubuntu one.
---------
It sucks! This is brainstorming!
