Ive been trying in vain since i started using ubuntu 7.10 to have my cable internet go into ubuntu through one ethernet card, and then assign IPs to anything plugged into a switch box that is plugged into another ethernet card on my ubuntu system. seems that such a powerful operating system shouldnt be outdone by windows who will automatically set that up by answering one question in the network setup wizard. how bout making a network setup wizard that can set as many types of networks as windows xp can.

Bluetooth Undo!!

Go back to bluetooth from 7.10. i could trick it to working there, and make it keep working if i went through a whole bunch of work in setup files (then have to reconnect next time i went to back to win xp) but 8.04 cant even connect the keyboard, asks for a key and then doesnt tell me how to set the key or if its already set or what. Or maybe, bluetooth could grab the settings from windows if present. that would be really nice so that I wouldnt have to reconnect when i reboot. makes it REALLY hard to log in when your keyboard doesnt work...
