The i386 ISOs do not have anything to do with Intel or the 386 cpus specifically just as the amd64 are not specific to AMD processors. Additionally these descriptors are practically meaningless to non-techies.

What matters for the decision between the ISOs is the difference between 32bit and 64bit, not intel and amd, so why not just call them that way, and thus take away the burden of having to be a cpu technician to understand them?

EDIT: As a compromise, to avoid confusion of the x86/IA ISOs with those for other architectures, descriptors like PC32bit and PC64bit might also be acceptable as that is likely the maximum a home user knows about his or her computer.

First, allow users to delete their own truly silly ideas. It's ridiculous that I can edit this post to say whatever I want, but can't simply get rid of it.

Second, go straight from version 9.04 "Jaunty Joey" (or whatever) to 9.10 "Lanky Llama" (or whatever). Reasons being that KDE/Kubuntu should have a monopoly on its letter to prevent confusing, and that running "Kitschy Koala Kubuntu" lends itself to some terrible jokes and initialisms.

Support Gambas Run-time files on the default set-up, so the gambas developers can distribute their applications easily.

I think that if Canonical ends supporting the Gambas project, It could become the next Mono, but this time more programmers will join and start compiling their Windows Visual Basic applications to Linux, also windows enthusiasts will change their sides more easily.

1. You have software in the repositories such as otrs that does not install properly. Why do you not get the existing software to work before wanting to make wholesale changes to your system. i.e. directory structure change and serial port changes.
2. Why does not ubuntu install the full program on the base system. Example: Vim has to be reinstalled to get the full version. That is a waste of my time for something that should already be there.
3. It really bothers me that gnome is becoming so dependent on mono and the like. I have this strange feeling that ms will come back and haunt linux users with njot only patent threats, but the vulnerabilities that are inherent in microsoft based code.
4. All the traditional tools we used to use in linux to tweak the system have disappeared. Ubuntu seems so crippled.
5. With so much advertising of dell on ubuntu sites, it almost seems like a conflict of interests. The way dell is laying off people and allegedly having financial problems will they put the choke on ubuntu? If dell is going to screw over the american workforce, they do not need our business. We have eight dell computers. We will not be buying another dell - linux or not.

Negotiate and support the development of camfrog version for Ubuntu linux.

Remove Mono and dependent applications from default Ubuntu Desktop CD. Mono occupies a significant amount of the valuable space on the live cd that could be used for translations and other things. Applications using mono use much more memory than their non-mono counterparts. Functionality can be provided by other applications that are just as good.

This will NOT remove Mono or any of the applications from the Ubuntu repositories, just the default Desktop CD. (Although removing them from the CD may mean they don't need to be in Main anymore)

This affects two applications included by default: tomboy and f-spot. Tomboy can be replaced by either sticky notes or zim and f-spot by gthumb.
