Please add full support for DVD-Audio and LPCM
Written by develvic the 12 Nov 09 at 11:17. Related project: Totem Movie Player. New
DVD-A is a modern high resolution digital audio format. The first discs entered the marketplace in 2000... but today is NOT SUPPORTED in Linux! This is holding many users of the migration from Windows...

The DVD-Audio standard supports 192 kHz/24-bit playback. So, we need a support of LPCM decoders:

DVD-Audio tools
http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net/howto.shtml
is not really usable for users and for now in Ubuntu we don't have a good support to playing DVD-Audio disks from the box (I've wrote about this to Rhytmbox team 1 year ago).
I'm not sure, maybe video-player should play DVD-A...

May be also with GTK+ front-end for Gnome...
