Ubuntu needs to go green. Powertop, Lesswatts and other tools have finally hit the Linux scene to pave the way for better power management. It needs to be said, "if you want your battery to last longest, or have your energy bill be the lowest, you better use Ubuntu Linux."

More Arabic Fonts and language support
Written by rmyeid the 1 Mar 08 at 00:42. Category: System. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Arabic users face allot of problems in rendering any arabic texts, especially in Firefox or in terminal. Firefox fonts for arabic are limited and bad, and in terminal there is no support for Arabic. Many Encoding problems when adding arabic subtitles to a movie.

Add a "Preview idea/comment" button for ideas and comments
Written by default.aspx the 1 Mar 08 at 00:45. Category: Brainstorm. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Currently, I can only post ideas and comments here. I just posted a comment, and while writing this idea, I have only a "Submit" button. Nearly all technologically-oriented sites have a "Preview" option. I think that this Web site should have that option too, so that users can see what their posts will look like in real life before submitting.

Desktop beauty
Written by maltepalte the 1 Mar 08 at 01:17. Category: Look and Feel. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Can the default desktop PLEASE get a facelift? Fresher, happier colors would make my day. (Sure you can customize, but I convert a lot of people to using Ubuntu, and they all say the same thing when they first see it start up: "Its...brown? :("
