Better Nvidia Graphic Card Support
Written by bdragonmsl the 29 Feb 08 at 03:30. Category: Graphics. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
I just bought a new graphics card (8800 GT)and there seems to be problems with it being picked up automatically in ubuntu. It would be nice if that new X.org was finally implemented.

Ubuntu Gamer Edition
Written by anoopjohn the 4 Mar 08 at 17:26. Category: Gaming. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Create a Ubuntu variant with lots of freely available games and trial versions of Linux based games. This should allow more gamers to try out Ubuntu. Doesn't matter even if the distro becomes bigger than a DVD or two. Lots of games available in the market are anyway huge.

I frequently use both Tomboy for my note taking and Labyrinth for my mind mapping. Both programs cover such similar necessities to me that it would be just natural to access them both from a single program.

Here's a mockup of what I have in mind:

Allow deletion of users own ideas
Written by days_of_ruin the 11 Mar 08 at 22:35. Category: Brainstorm. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
So you make a bad idea that everyone hates.
After awhile it clogs up your "my ideas" page
plus there is no reason to waste space on the servers.

Don't include OO.org Writer in Xubuntu
Written by Blueface the 14 Mar 08 at 20:45. Category: Office. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Xubuntu is supposed to be lightweight and in my opinion OpenOffice.org Writer isn't lightweight.

I don't think we should include it in the default install since Xubuntu already has AbiWord which is a much better option for Xubuntu. But I think that we should still leave OpenOffice.org on the CD in case anyone would want to install it.

uniform all menu items: in ubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu
Written by Xan the 15 Mar 08 at 08:50. Category: Look and Feel. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
Make the menus in all favours of ubuntu (ubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu) the similiar it can be.

For example, in ubuntu gnumeric is in "Science-->Mathematics" but in ubuntu is in "Office".

Merge add/remove programms and synaptic
Written by natureflow the 16 Mar 08 at 15:04. Category: Accessibility. Related to: Nothing/Others. New
A good software is usable and useful for beginners and experts. Please merge "add/remove programms" and synaptic. There should be no "dummy mode". I'm not a "dummy", but I want an easy user interface.
