Virtualize the other OS present in machine

Lot of people have ubuntu + other operating system installed in his/her computer (FreeBSD, windows, etc.)
Now for accessing to this system, we could reboot computer and dont select ubuntu (in grub menu). It could be good if we have virtualized access to these OS: in any OS present in grub menu, ubuntu could virtualize them (with qemu, virtualbox, etc.).
So ubuntu users could run your OS at the same time that ubuntu and copy and share information among that.

Now OpenOffice could NOT read abiword documents. It's an annoying fact because we have to install abiword (having two write processors).
Please, improve OO for at least could read abiword docs.
Thanks,

For example if we go to youtube, firefox asks us if we want to install adobe flash or gnash. After this election, we could not delete and select the other options.
The installed codecs don't appear in Tools menu.

Make the menus in all favours of ubuntu (ubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu) the similiar it can be.
For example, in ubuntu gnumeric is in "Science-->Mathematics" but in ubuntu is in "Office".

make ubuntu recognizes partition changes (fstab disk--by-uuid)

fstab recognizes partition by uuid. This has a problem when the list of partitions changes: for example if we have / in hda1 and several partitions hda2 and hda3, when hda2 changes (for example resizing or modify type of partition), then ubuntu does not recognize it, and mount as another partition.

Possibility to drag-and-drop items in the deskbar for ordering these how user want: one the last one, one the first, ...
good if you want to program first in deskbar and you launched in the last position.

Now there is no list music player program (like xmms, bmp, muine, etc) that were supported by ubuntu. xmms is very old and there are many alternatives, but none of that is supported by ubuntu.
User that want a list music player and not rythmbox has no option that is supported.

put tty for seeing what installs is doing (like alternate cd)

A useful thing is to provide a list of things that installer is doing, like alternate cd, but in the live cd. For example, pressing CTRL+ALT+F8 we can see what happens.
Useful for detecting bugs for expert users. Novice users does not see it "never" because they "never" press this keys combination.

Useful if users could have a program like splunk [ http://www.splunk.com/] but FOSS for seeing what's happening in their computer.
Specially useful for servers. A log analysis is very tedious

for this reasons:
1) Most people use several navigators: firefox, links, nautilus, galeon, konqueror, .... and have several bookmarks on it. But now the bookmarks in each navigator are isolated. You have manually to export and import the bookmarks in every navigator... and hugh task
2) Ideally if you want to share your bookmarks among several local users. Now if two users of the same computers want to share a directory of bookmarks, the best option is to import and export bookmarks....
Good if in firefox (and in future in any navigator) you could "save bookmarks in the server" (or save bookmarks as traditionally, in ~/)

Hi,
We have Selinux enabled by default, but no PaX. PaX could help to memory bugs. And so we will have more robust linux system.

Simply compile grsecurity in ubuntu kernel but disable by default (like selinux now).
Useful for people want to just use grsec. Just enable and use...
